I offer a full range of services to Veterinary Professionals and Animal Welfare Organisations, below are some examples:
- Training – delivered in a workshop style to encourage lively discussion where everyone can participate in a relaxed and safe environment to learn about the challenging subject of bereavement support. Sessions are designed to meet specific needs or to offer a planned programme for staff to develop confidence when communicating with distressed and bereaved owners.
- In-practice Consultancy – if you want your team to offer a consistently high standard of client support before, during and after animal loss, you need to have clear protocols in place for dealing with end-of-life issues, and be confident that all your staff are fully ‘on-board’ with these. For example, the importance of offering sensitivity and clarity when taking the initial phone call from the owner to book euthanasia, right through to supporting the client as they face the impact of their loss. Or you might want to enhance the service you currently offer to ensure that your practice is renowned for its high level of client support.
- Talks – offering valuable insights from the owner’s perspective I will explain the effects of grief and ways to offer support during the impending and actual loss of a much loved animal.
- Commission for in-house resources – offering bespoke support literature will demonstrate to your clients that you are committed to offering a high quality standard of care not only to the animals but to those who care for them.
